So Day 5 was pretty uneventful... A lot of it was spent traveling by Shinkansen to Tokyo, and then taking the train to our airbnb apartment.
At Kyoto station we picked up some yummy sushi bento that we enjoyed during the ride!
Our apartment is literally next to Hirai Station which was really convenient! There was a 24hr supermarket nearby, as well as lots of on-the-go food stores like McD's, Yoshinoya and a Okonomiyaki/Takoyaki place. The hallway to the elevators was outdoors, which I really liked as well.. Everything felt open and inviting.
Akihabara was only about 4 stops away from our apartment, so with the amount of time left in the day we quickly explored the various arcades. The stores close around there a little earlier, but you'll probably see a lot more of Akiba in these posts. I can already tell it's one of my favourite places!
